Michigan's Premier Mini Goldendoodle Breeder

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything we get asked the most – answered honestly.

How big do Mini Goldendoodles get?

Our Mini Goldendoodles typically mature between 22-30 pounds and stand 14-17 inches at the shoulder. Our Petite Goldendoodles are smaller, maturing between 14-18 pounds and 12-15 inches tall.

Are Mini Goldendoodles hypoallergenic?

Mini Goldendoodles are considered low-shedding and are often a great fit for families with mild dog allergies. No dog is 100% hypoallergenic, but the Poodle parentage means they shed significantly less than Golden Retrievers. We always recommend spending time with a doodle before committing if allergies are a serious concern.

What is the difference between F1 and F1B Mini Goldendoodles?

F1 Mini Goldendoodles are first-generation crosses (Mini Poodle x Golden Retriever). F1B Mini Goldendoodles are F1 puppies bred back to a Mini Poodle, making them roughly 75% Poodle. F1B doodles tend to shed less and have curlier coats – often a better choice for allergy-sensitive families.

How much does a Mini Goldendoodle cost?

Our Mini Goldendoodles range from $1,550 to $1,850, and our Petite Goldendoodles range from $1,850 to $2,000. A $250 deposit holds your puppy until pickup. See our Process & Pricing page for full details.

Are your puppies health tested?

Yes. Every adult in our breeding program is genetically tested through Embark Veterinary, screening for over 250 inheritable conditions. Test results for both parents are available on request, and every puppy comes with a 2-year health guarantee.

Do you ship puppies?

We do not ship by air – we believe puppies do best meeting their new family in person. We do offer ground delivery within driving distance for an additional fee, and we welcome pickup visits to our Swartz Creek home.

When can puppies go home?

Puppies are ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. By that point, they have had their first vaccinations, multiple deworming treatments, a vet wellness exam, and weeks of socialization in our home.

Where are you located?

We are located in Swartz Creek, Michigan – about 15 minutes west of Flint, and within easy driving distance of Detroit, Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Grand Rapids.

How long is your waitlist?

It varies by litter. Some litters fill within days of being announced; others have availability through pickup. Get on our notification list by reaching out via the Contact page – we send updates as soon as litters are confirmed.

What food do you recommend?

Our puppies are started on Life’s Abundance puppy food, which we have had excellent results with for over 15 years. We send home a sample to ease the transition, and we are happy to recommend alternatives based on your vet’s guidance.

Do Mini Goldendoodles need a lot of grooming?

Yes – plan on daily brushing and a professional groom every 6-8 weeks. Their coat does not shed much, but it does keep growing. Without regular grooming, it can mat quickly. We provide a full grooming guide with every puppy.

Are Mini Goldendoodles good with kids?

They are wonderful with kids. Goldendoodles are famous for their gentle, patient temperament, and our puppies are raised in a home with children specifically so they are comfortable with little hands and noisy energy from day one.
