Our Story
Welcome to Michigan Doodles. We’re a small, family-owned breeder based in Swartz Creek, Michigan, and we’ve been raising healthy, beautiful doodles for more than three decades. What started as a love for a single litter has grown into a lifelong passion — and a genuine calling to connect families across Michigan and the Midwest with the right puppy for their home.
Every Mini and Petite Goldendoodle puppy we raise is born and brought up inside our home, surrounded by the everyday rhythms of family life: kids running through the kitchen, doors opening and closing, the vacuum running, visitors coming and going. By the time our puppies leave for their forever homes, they’re confident, well-socialized, and ready for whatever your family throws at them.
Our Breeding Philosophy
We breed for three things, in this order: health, temperament, and breed standard. We believe a well-bred Mini Goldendoodle should live a long, happy, low-drama life — and that starts with responsible breeding practices long before a puppy is born.
- Health-tested parents. Every adult in our program is genetically screened through Embark for the inheritable conditions known to affect Goldendoodles.
- Limited litters. We don’t over-breed. Our girls have generous time between litters, and we cap the number of litters per year so every puppy gets the attention they deserve.
- Lifetime support. When you bring home one of our puppies, you’re joining a community. We’re here for questions about training, grooming, food, vet visits — for the life of your dog.
What Makes Our Doodles Different
Our Mini Goldendoodles range from 22-30 lbs and our Petites from 14-18 lbs at maturity. They’re bred specifically for families looking for a smaller, easier-to-handle doodle without losing any of the joy, intelligence, and gentleness the breed is famous for.
Because we keep our program small, we get to know every puppy as an individual. By the time you pick yours up, we can tell you who’s the cuddler, who’s the explorer, and who’s going to be the one stealing socks at three months. That helps us match the right puppy with the right family — every single time.
