Mini Goldendoodle Breeder Near Flint, MI — Puppies for Sale
Michigan Doodles is a family owned and operated small breeder in Swartz Creek, Michigan — about 15 minutes west of downtown Flint. If you have been searching for Mini Goldendoodle puppies for sale near Flint, you are not looking at a kennel three states away that wants to quote you a shipping fee. You are looking at a breeder in your own county, one you can drive out and see for yourself.
We have been raising healthy, beautiful doodles for more than three decades. Our puppies are born and raised inside our home, surrounded by children and other pets, and we keep the program small on purpose: limited litters, generous time between them, and a cap on how many we have in a year.

You Live Close Enough to Come See for Yourself
Swartz Creek sits on I-69 just west of Flint, which puts us roughly 15 minutes from downtown and a short hop from Grand Blanc, Burton, Davison, Flushing and Fenton. Most of Genesee County is inside a half-hour drive.
That matters more than it sounds. Buying a puppy sight unseen from a listing site is a leap of faith. Buying one 15 minutes from your house is not. You can see where the puppies are actually being raised, meet the parents, ask your questions face to face, and come back a second time before you make up your mind. To keep litters healthy we do not allow visitors until the puppies have had their first round of vaccinations, but after that we welcome scheduled visits.
Getting your puppy home is simple too. Delivery is available within 50 miles at no additional charge, and every corner of the Flint area sits well inside that.
How Reserving a Puppy Works, Step by Step
- Place a deposit. A $250 deposit reserves your place in the litter you choose. It is nonrefundable, but it can be applied to any puppy for up to one year, and it holds a specific spot and gender in that litter.
- Watch them grow. We stay in contact through the first few weeks and send pictures of the litter.
- Choose your puppy at 7–8 weeks. This is when you come out and select in person. Families who cannot travel choose from pictures and videos, but if you are local there is no reason not to come. You get your take-home information at this visit, including what food your puppy is eating and when to book the first vet appointment.
- Bring your puppy home at 8–9 weeks. We work out a day and time with you for pickup or delivery.
- Call us afterward. We are available for continued support throughout your puppy’s life.
The longer version of all of this is on our process and pricing page.
What to Ask Any Breeder Close to Home
The good part about shopping for a Goldendoodle close to home is that you can check things yourself instead of taking somebody’s word for it. Worth asking of any breeder you are considering, including us:
- Can you see where the puppies are raised? A breeder who will only meet you in a parking lot, or who shows you puppies but never the home they came from, is telling you something. Ours are raised in our house.
- What genetic testing was done, and can you see the results? Every adult dog in our program is screened through Embark, and test results for both parents are available on request.
- Is the health guarantee in writing? Ours is a written 2-year guarantee covering genetic and congenital defects.
- What does the deposit hold, and what if plans change? Ours holds a specific spot and gender, and carries over to another puppy for up to a year.
- What comes home with the puppy? Ours leave with age-appropriate vaccinations, multiple dewormings, a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup, and a starter kit with a food sample, a blanket carrying the litter’s scent, and a care guide.
The Goldendoodles We Raise
We currently raise F1B Mini and Medium Goldendoodles. Our Mini Goldendoodles mature at 22–30 lbs and our Medium Goldendoodles at 30–50 lbs. F1B means an F1 Goldendoodle bred back to a Mini Poodle, making them roughly 75% Poodle, which tends to mean a curlier coat and less shedding.
On allergies we will give you the same answer we give everyone: no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, but the Poodle parentage means they shed significantly less than a Golden Retriever. If allergies are a real concern in your house, spend time around a doodle before you commit — an easy thing to arrange when the breeder is 15 minutes away.
Because the program stays small, we get to know each puppy as an individual and can usually read personalities by about 6 weeks, which helps us match the right puppy with the right family. Puppies are started on Nutrena Loyal Life chicken and brown rice puppy food, which we have had excellent results with for over 15 years, and we send a sample home to ease the transition.
Health Testing and the Written Guarantee
Every adult dog in our breeding program is tested through Embark Veterinary. We do not breed any dog that has not been cleared for the conditions known to affect their lineage. Results for both parents are available on request.
Every puppy leaves with a written 2-year health guarantee covering genetic and congenital defects. In the rare event a covered condition appears, we work with you on a replacement puppy or a refund, without requiring you to return the puppy you have already bonded with. The full terms are on our health testing and guarantee page.
We breed for three things, in this order: health, temperament, and breed standard.
Availability and Pricing
We have Mini and Medium Goldendoodle puppies available throughout the year, and it varies by litter. Some fill within days of being announced, others still have openings right up to pickup. Rather than tell you here what we have today and let it go stale, we keep the available puppies page current, with each puppy’s sex, generation and expected adult weight.
Current pricing is shown on each listing there, and the deposit terms are on the process and pricing page. If you are weighing us against a cheaper listing you found online, the difference is what you can verify in person: health-tested parents you can meet, a written guarantee, and a breeder you can drive to on a Saturday.
